Baseball Game Preview: King's Academy Knights vs. Hillsdale Fighting Knights

For the second straight game, King's Academy will face off against Hillsdale. The Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the Fighting Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

King's Academy barely beat Hillsdale the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights beat the Fighting Knights on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Fighting Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Justin Cho, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was AJ Kong, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

King's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hillsdale only posted an OBP of .355.

Hillsdale has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for King's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. King's Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hillsdale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts.
