Basketball Game Preview: Pinecrest Prep Crocs' vs. Ferguson Falcons

Pinecrest Prep hasn't had much luck against Ferguson recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pinecrest Prep Crocs' will venture away from home to challenge the Ferguson Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Pinecrest Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Tuesday, Pinecrest Prep strolled past Westland Hialeah with points to spare, taking the game 57-42.

It was another big night for Gabriel Guzman, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 26 points in addition to five boards and three steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Andy Garcia, who posted seven points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Ferguson unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Dade.

Pinecrest Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Ferguson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

Pinecrest Prep was taken down by Ferguson 72-26 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Pinecrest Prep was down 41-13.
