Basketball Recap: Merion Mercy Academy Takes a Loss

Merion Mercy Academy suffered their biggest loss since February 5th on Thursday. They were dealt a 54-26 defeat at the hands of the Gwynedd Mercy Academy Monarchs. The match marked the Golden Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Merion Mercy Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Gwynedd Mercy Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Merion Mercy Academy will take on Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gwynedd Mercy Academy and Little Flower Catholic for Girls will compete for holiday cheer at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Little Flower Catholic for Girls' defense has only allowed 23.3 points per game this season, so Gwynedd Mercy Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
