Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Faith Robbins and Josie Woodham Lead New Prairie to Victory

New Prairie won the last time they faced Michigan City and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wolves.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-17.

Leading New Prairie to victory were Josie Woodham and Faith Robbins. Woodham had seven digs and three aces, while Robbins had 18 assists and six digs. Those 18 assists gave Robbins a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: New Prairie was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Michigan City only served three aces.

New Prairie's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Michigan City, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

New Prairie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Washington Township on the 23rd. As for Michigan City, they will host Marquette Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
