Recap: De La Salle Cavalier vs. Salmen Spartans
If the De La Salle Cavalier were feeling good off their 51-26 takedown of the Riverdale Rebels last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. De La Salle fell 45-33 to Salmen on Tuesday. The game was a 18-18 toss-up at halftime, but De La Salle couldn't quite close it out.
Salmen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Treasure Mccall led the charge by scoring 12 points along with seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Akayla Mcmooain, who scored eight points along with three blocks.
De La Salle dropped their record down to 9-16 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Salmen, the win got them back to even at 15-15.
De La Salle will be playing at home against Willow at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. De La Salle is facing Willow at the right time seeing as Willow is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Salmen, they will head out on the road to take on Franklinton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Salmen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday.
