Basketball Recap: West Jefferson Takes a Loss

West Jefferson lost against Southeastern Local back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Jefferson Roughriders took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southeastern Local Trojans. The Roughriders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, West Jefferson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Colton Kincade went 8 of 16 on his way to 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kincade has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Switalski, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

West Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Southeastern Local, they pushed their record up to 6-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

West Jefferson will challenge Triad at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeastern Local, they will square off against Catholic Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Catholic Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Southeastern Local surely won't give up without a fight.
