Texas high school basketball: Playoff brackets, schedules, times for all six classifications

Richardson, Duncanville enter 6A playoffs as the nation's top two ranked teams.

The postseason has arrived for Texas high school basketball and brackets are out for all six UIL classifications. Action begins this week with the state tournament scheduled for March 10-12 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Of particular interest around the state and beyond, the nation's top two ranked teams reside in the Class 6A bracket. Ranked No. 1 in the latest MaxPreps Top 25, Richardson (30-1) is among the headliners in Region 1 while No. 2 Duncanville (28-1) will be in Region 2. The two teams met Dec.30 with Richardson winning 60-58. They cannot meet again until the state championship game.

Defending champions include Duncanville in 6A, Beaumont United (5A), Argyle (4A), San Antonio Cole (3A), Clarendon (2A) and Texline (1A).
