            Football Recap: Arroyo Knights vs. Gabrielino Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Arroyo extended their winning streak  to three  on Friday, bumping them up to 4-4. Everything went their way against the Gabrielino Eagles as they made off with  a  35-10 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 21  points or more this season.

Arroyo got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Angel Casillas out in front who rushed for 133 yards while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Those  133  rushing yards gave  Casillas a new career-high.  Jose Penaloza was in the mix  too, providing Arroyo with two scores.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Arroyo was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 250  rushing yards. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 77  rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five games they've averaged 176.7.
 Another reason for the win was Arroyo's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks.  Jesus Lira refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5  sacks all by himself. He was another major factor on D,  picking up  1.5  sacks and making eight total tackles (2.5 for loss).
As for Gabrielino, their  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. The  contest marked their lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 When it comes to explaining why Gabrielino lost, don't look at  Ely Lobban. Despite the final result, he rushed for 82 yards on only nine carries, and also threw for 95 yards and one  TD.
