Recap: Bayside Academy Admirals vs. Escambia County Blue Devils
The Bayside Academy Admirals won the last time they faced the Escambia County Blue Devils, and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went Bayside Academy's way against Escambia County as Bayside Academy made off with a 38-14 win. The result was nothing new for Bayside Academy, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Bayside Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tait Moore, who picked up 111 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Sammy Dunn was another key contributor, throwing for 229 yards and a touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Despite the loss, Escambia County still got an impressive performance from James Whatley, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
The victory makes it two in a row for Bayside Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23 points. As for Escambia County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bayside Academy will face off against Satsuma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Satsuma will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Bayside Academy is ranked 103rd). As for Escambia County, they will head out on the road to face off against Orange Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Orange Beach is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
