Soccer Recap: Academy for Academic Excellence Wins Going Away Against Excelsior Charter

After failing to score in their last contest, Academy for Academic Excellence made sure to put some goals up on the board against Excelsior Charter on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Excelsior Charter Eagles with a sharp 4-1 win. That three goal margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

They hit Excelsior Charter with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Joshua Robinett (2), David Sanchez, and Isaias Mora.

Academy for Academic Excellence's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5-1. As for Excelsior Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy for Academic Excellence will take on Palmdale Academy Charter School at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Excelsior Charter, they will square off against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Excelsior Charter is facing Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at the right time seeing as Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
