Baseball Recap: Von Steuben Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Von Steuben, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lincoln Park Lions on Tuesday, sneaking past 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Lions on Monday, they had to take a 15-10 defeat.

Von Steuben let Axel Rivera and Kayin Timble run wild. Rivera went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Timble went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Timble has become a key player for Von Steuben: the team is 5-0-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10-1 otherwise.

Von Steuben's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-10-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln Park, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
