It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tom Bean had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They never let the Alvord Bulldogs get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The Tomcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 matches by six runs or more this season.

Cash Linder was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Linder was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hagen Darney, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Donnie Hooten, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The victory (which was Tom Bean's fifth in a row) raised their record to 26-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Alvord, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-9.

As of now, neither Tom Bean nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
