Volleyball Recap: Reading Memorial Has No Trouble Against Woburn Memorial

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Winchester, Reading Memorial was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Woburn Memorial Tanners 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

While Reading Memorial won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-16.

Victoria Reposa paced Reading Memorial's offense, picking up 13 kills. Reposa got some help from Gianna Miceli and her 16 assists. Charlie Ballestas controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Lauren Snyder and Alina Ayanian certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Snyder had 17 assists and ten digs, while Ayanian had 11 digs. Snyder is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Reading Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Woburn Memorial, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10.

As of now, neither Reading Memorial nor the Tanners have any future games scheduled.
