Lincoln-Way West put another one in the bag  on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Troy Trojans by a score of  8-5. The eight-run effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring  game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
 Conor Essenburg made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  three innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   two  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Quentin Lange, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Jackson Mansker, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
Lincoln-Way West's record now sits at 6-0. As for Troy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Lincoln-Way West will have a chance to go back-to-back against Troy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 10:00  a.m.  on Wednesday.
