Basketball Game Preview: Jamestown vs. Tuscumbia Lions

Jamestown and Tuscumbia are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. Jamestown will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Tuscumbia Lions at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Jamestown saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Fe. Jamestown hasn't had much luck with Santa Fe recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Tuscumbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 69-33 loss at the hands of Macks Creek. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-18.

Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Tuscumbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Everything came up roses for Jamestown against Tuscumbia in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 61-27 victory. Does Jamestown have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tuscumbia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
