Softball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin blew Roosevelt out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Roosevelt got their revenge. The Quakers fell just short of the Roughriders by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Quakers have suffered since May 1, 2024.

Franklin dropped their record down to 6-10-1 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Roosevelt, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-8 defeat against Grant on the 2nd. As for Roosevelt, they have also already played their next match, a 5-4 loss against Cleveland on the 2nd.
