Baseball Game Preview: Colonie Central Wolfpack vs. Bethlehem Central Eagles

The Colonie Central Wolfpack will head out to face off against the Bethlehem Central Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Colonie Central has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Colonie Central didn't have quite enough to beat Guilderland and fell 5-4.

Brady Juliano made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Frey, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bethlehem Central came up short against Ballston Spa on Tuesday, falling 13-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Scotties since April 17, 2019.

Bob Frick was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Colonie Central dropped their record down to 12-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Bethlehem Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-1.

Everything went Colonie Central's way against Bethlehem Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Colonie Central made off with a 10-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolfpack since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
