Softball Recap: Santa Cruz Valley Takes a Loss

Santa Cruz Valley was the 7-6 winner over Show Low when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Santa Cruz Valley fell 8-5 to Show Low on Saturday. The Dust Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santa Cruz Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilee Brown, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Santa Cruz Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Show Low, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Santa Cruz Valley is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Gilbert Classical Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Show Low, they will take on Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
