Basketball Game Preview: Fall River Pirates vs. Columbus Cardinals

Fall River is on a six-game streak of home losses, Columbus a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Fall River Pirates will welcome the Columbus Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Columbus took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Fall River, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Fall River turned things around against Rio on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 54-42.

Meanwhile, Columbus fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Lakeside Lutheran on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Fall River's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Columbus, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Everything went Fall River's way against Columbus in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as Fall River made off with a 73-51 victory. Will Fall River repeat their success, or does Columbus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
