Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was the 48-42 winner over Robert C. Byrd when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The game between the Lincoln Cougars and the Robert C. Byrd Eagles didn't end well, with the Lincoln Cougars falling 47-29. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lincoln has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Robert C. Byrd, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fairmont Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Robert C. Byrd, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Preston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Preston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season.
