Basketball Game Preview: Decatur Eisenhower Panthers vs. Lincoln Railsplitters

Decatur Eisenhower is 0-5 against Lincoln since February of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Decatur Eisenhower Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lincoln Railsplitters at 7:00 p.m.

Decatur Eisenhower is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Thursday. They fell 50-41 to Lanphier.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tatiana Ramey, who went 7 for 11 on her way to 15 points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Honesti Woodland was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, Lincoln didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bloomington on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 61-56 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Railsplitters.

Lincoln has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Decatur Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 1-22.

Decatur Eisenhower took a serious blow against Lincoln when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 94-28. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Decatur Eisenhower was down 62-11.
