Wimberley extended their home winning streak to 16 games thanks to a huge performance from Ashton Shipman. The Texans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Davenport Wolves on Tuesday thanks in part to Shipman, who had 19 digs and eight assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-102) Wimberley actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 19-25, 17-25, 25-22, 16-14.

Wimberley's win bumped their record up to 38-5. As for Davenport, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 31-8.

Wimberley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Fredericksburg on the 17th. As for Davenport, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Long Creek on the 17th.
