Softball Recap: Newport Harbor Comes Up Short

Newport Harbor fell victim to Fountain Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Barons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Barons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 on April 1st.

Newport Harbor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cora Jordan, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Newport Harbor and nudges their season record down to 10-13. As for Fountain Valley, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newport Harbor will host San Juan Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fountain Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edison at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Barons surely won't give up without a fight.
