Steele Canyon won the last time they faced Valhalla and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Steele Canyon Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Valhalla Norsemen 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since April 17, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (109-106) Steele Canyon actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 17-25, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Valhalla lost, don't look at Luke D'Alessio. Despite the final result, he had 24 digs. D'Alessio is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 18 or more in each of the last six games he's played.

With the win, Steele Canyon broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for Valhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
