Softball Recap: Wyoming East Takes a Loss

Wyoming East was the 21-16 winner over Midland Trail when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Wyoming East lost 11-2 to Midland Trail on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Kaydee Shrewsbury made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlee Rollins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Wyoming East is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Midland Trail, they pushed their record up to 2-4 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Wyoming East will host Chapmanville Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Midland Trail, they will head out on the road to take on Richwood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Midland Trail is facing Richwood at the right time seeing as Richwood is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
