Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sandia). They put the hurt on the Capital Jaguars with a sharp 26-8 victory on Saturday. The Matadors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by six runs or more this season.

The win was the eighth in a row for Sandia, bringing their record up to 18-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Capital, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Sandia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 defeat against Eldorado on the 28th. As for Capital, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 23-1 loss against La Cueva on the 28th.
