Soccer Game Preview: Valhalla vs. Grossmont

The Valhalla Norsemen will take on the Grossmont Foothillers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Valhalla didn't have quite enough to beat Mount Miguel and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Grossmont entered their tilt with El Capitan on Thursday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Their defense stepped up to hand the Vaqueros a 2-0 shutout. Given Grossmont's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 68th, while El Capitan are ranked 951st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grossmont's win bumped their record up to 15-1-1. As for Valhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1.
