Basketball Recap: Grace and Glory Christian Comes Up Short at Home Against Wiregrass

Grace and Glory Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 42-30 to the Wiregrass Kings on Thursday. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Kings 17-10 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Grace and Glory Christian still got an impressive performance from Jael Jackson, who posted 11 points.

Among those leading the charge was Emma Kelty, who put up 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. Paige McAllister was another key player, putting up four points along with 11 boards and three steals.

Coming up, Grace and Glory Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Cottondale at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wiregrass, they will head out on the road to take on Conecuh Springs Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
