Softball Recap: Dodge City Comes Up Short

Dodge City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Derby Panthers, falling 18-0. If the Demons were looking for revenge after losing 14-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dodge City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Derby, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Dodge City will be playing at home against Northwest at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Derby, they will face off against Emporia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
