Baseball Recap: San Jacinto Valley Academy Now 16-2 over Last 18 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hemet, San Jacinto Valley Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-5 back in April.

Chayce Paine was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. San Jacinto Valley Academy is undefeated when Paine posts two or more runs, but 8-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Owen Kelly, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

San Jacinto Valley Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Desert Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
