Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors vs. Blair County Christian Bobcats
After a string of five wins, the Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Blair County Christian. Calvary Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Blair County Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Calvary Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyrell Lapp, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Lapp has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Micah Lloyd was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blair County Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caedmon Dull, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Dull hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Micaiah Marucci, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Calvary Christian Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2. As for Blair County Christian, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Calvary Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Huntingdon Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Blair County Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
