Baseball Game Preview: Tara Trojans vs. St. Michael Warriors

Tara is 0-10 against St. Michael since March of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will welcome the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Tara is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12 runs per game this season.

Tara barely beat Donaldsonville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 28-3 margin over the Tigers on Monday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Tara got a massive performance out of Enrique Avila, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most runs Avila has posted since back in March of 2025. Montrell McDaniel was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

Tara always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, St. Michael came up short against Walker on Saturday, falling 12-3. The Warriors have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

St. Michael's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Tara, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
