Volleyball Recap: Chrisman Has No Trouble Against Truman

Chrisman hadn't done well against Truman recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Chrisman never let Truman on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-23.

Lillian Munoz paced Chrisman's offense, picking up eight kills. Munoz got some help from Jazelle David and her 19 assists. Rubi Mathis and Olivia Pocock kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Chrisman moved to 14-17-1 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Truman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

Chrisman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Belton on the 16th. As for Truman, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Fort Osage on the 16th.
