Recap: Saxony Lutheran Crusaders vs. Kennett Indians
The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders were the 56-39 winner over the Kennett Indians when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Saxony Lutheran suffered a rough 58-38 loss at the hands of Kennett on Thursday.
When it comes to explaining why Saxony Lutheran lost, one person who can't be blamed is Evie Caruso. Despite the final result, she scored ten points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Johnson, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Saxony Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Kennett, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.
Saxony Lutheran will head out on the road to take on Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Saxony Lutheran is coming into the match with six straight defeats on the road, meaning Jackson will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Kennett, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
