Basketball Game Preview: Ribault Trojans vs. Raines Vikings

The Ribault Trojans will take on the Raines Vikings on Friday. Both are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Ribault is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They breezed by Parker to the tune of 70-25. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Raines had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 69-38 victory over the Hornets.

Raines' win came from a few key players Ribault will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jesus Rice, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 23 points and five boards. The contest was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrance Walker, who went 7 of 15 en route to 20 points.

Raines' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Ribault, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.

Ribault skirted past Raines 76-73 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ribault since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
