Football Game Preview: Island Coast Gators vs. Cypress Lake Panthers + Official Tickets

Island Coast hasn't had much luck against Cypress Lake recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Gators will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Island Coast has given up an average of 49.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Island Coast and Charlotte had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Gators were outmatched by the Fightin' Tarpons and fell 45-13. The Gators were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-0.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Terrance Taylor Jr, who threw for 242 yards and a pair of TDs on only 17 passes. Island Coast's leading receiver Christian Henderson was Taylor Jr's top target yet again, picking up 121 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Cypress Lake lost to South Fort Myers on the road by a 22-7 margin on Friday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Wolfpack recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Cypress Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Island Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
