Workman won the last time they faced Pomona and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lobos blew past the Red Devils 19-8. Considering the Lobos have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

McKenna Weller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Workman got a massive performance out of Leana Sanchez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Sanchez has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Serrano, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Workman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .577. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pomona only posted a batting average of .364.

Workman now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Pomona, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Workman will head out to square off against Hoover at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pomona, they will welcome Ganesha at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Giants will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
