Basketball Game Preview: Mountain View Spartans vs. Palo Alto Vikings

Mountain View is 2-8 against Palo Alto since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mountain View Spartans will look to defend their home court against the Palo Alto Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Palo Alto took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mountain View, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Mountain View strolled past Gunn with points to spare, taking the game 65-47. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Palo Alto entered their game against Los Gatos on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Palo Alto fell to Los Gatos 53-48.

Palo Alto's loss dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Mountain View, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.

Mountain View suffered a grim 59-35 defeat to Palo Alto when the teams last played back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mountain View was down 30-10.
