Softball Recap: North Shore Comes Up Short

If North Shore was riding high fresh off their 21-1 takedown of Channelview last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs came up short against the Atascocita Eagles on Friday, falling 14-4. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jada Duncan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jolissa Ramirez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

North Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Atascocita, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-5.

Coming up, North Shore will square off against King at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Atascocita, they will take on Channelview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
