After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marquette, Forreston was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rochelle Hubs a 2-0 shutout. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 6-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Forreston's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brendan Greenfield, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Forreston's win bumped their record up to 26-7. As for Rochelle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

Forreston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rochelle, they will face off against Harvard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
