League recap: St. Andrews Episcopal's Gallarno delivers best pitching performance from past week

Daniel Gallarno was the best pitcher in the league this week. He won one game and struck out two batters.

St. Andrews Episcopal made the biggest jump in the national rankings, moving from 2837 to 2443 thanks to a 1-1 record over the past week. St. Andrews Episcopal is currently No. 53 in the state of Mississippi, with an overall record of 24-9.

McLaurin's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 10 hits and four walks to lead the league in both categories. The Tigers have given up a mere 106 hits on the year in addition to compiling 100 strikeouts. Cody Roberts is the leader in that category with 32 Ks on the season.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Daniel Briner, who turned in four Ks for the Saints. With 60 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks first in the league.
