Baseball Recap: Valley Vista Comes Up Short

Valley Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions, falling 15-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Monsoon of the 6-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2018.

Valley Vista saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylie Hanson, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Valley Vista's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Mountain Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.

Valley Vista will venture away from home to take on West Point at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain Ridge, they will welcome Pinnacle at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
