Basketball Recap: Carmi-White County's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carmi-White County can now relate to. They lost 43-21 to the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces on Thursday. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Maycee Randall was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 18 boards for Mt. Carmel. Randall is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Stevens, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.

The defeat snapped Carmi-White County's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 19-10 record. As for Mt. Carmel, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-4.
