Soccer Recap: Elmwood Park Takes a Loss

Elmwood Park fell victim to Addison Trail and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Blazers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Elmwood Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Addison Trail are ranked 109th).

Elmwood Park has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-1 record this season. As for Addison Trail, they moved to 5-5-2 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Coming up, Elmwood Park will host West Chicago at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Addison Trail, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Zion-Benton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
