Basketball Recap: Monroeville Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Monroeville lost against New London back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The match between the Monroeville Eagles and the New London Wildcats didn't end well, with the Monroeville Eagles falling 51-34. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 11-7 in the first quarter.

Monroeville's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for New London, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroeville will head out to challenge Mansfield Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mansfield Christian will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Monroeville surely won't give up without a fight. As for New London, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the New London Wildcats take on the Crestview Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
