If M.L. King wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Midtown, they should've done a better job of containing Darrion Hadley. The Knights were the clear victors by a 68-45 margin over the Lions on Tuesday for which the team can thank Hadley, who shot 60% from beyond the arc to rack up 30 points along with eight boards and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.8% three-point shooting accuracy.

Lawrence Barreau also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

M.L. King's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Jackson, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Chisimdi Agbasi, who scored 11 points along with eight boards and five steals.

Midtown's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for M.L. King, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Midtown will take on Creekside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' defense better be ready for this one: the Seminoles have averaged an impressive 65.5 points per game this season. As for M.L. King, they will challenge Clarkston at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
