Baseball Game Preview: Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks vs. East Ridge Knights

The Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks will face off against the East Ridge Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cornerstone Charter Academy will be strutting in after a victory while East Ridge will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, Cornerstone Charter Academy turned things around against Four Corners on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Coyotes by a score of 12-7.

Cornerstone Charter Academy got a big performance out of Zach Krueger, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs Krueger has posted since back in February. Salim Abdul-Nabi was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, East Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to Apopka, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

East Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haisum Osuna, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

East Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-10.
