Soccer Recap: St. Maries Starts Season with Win on the Road

St. Maries had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand the Priest River Spartans a 5-0 shutout.

St. Maries hit Priest River with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rebecca Dittman (2), Millie Reid, Nisha Bamjao, and Kaylynn Boyett.

This is the second loss in a row for Priest River and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Maries will face off against rival Bonners Ferry at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Priest River is set to challenge their familiar foe Grangeville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
