Soccer Recap: Villa Angela-St. Joseph Takes a Loss

Villa Angela-St. Joseph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Berkshire Badgers. If Villa Angela-St. Joseph were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to Berkshire when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Villa Angela-St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Berkshire, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Villa Angela-St. Joseph will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harding at 6:00 p.m. on September 9. As for Berkshire, they will take on Kirtland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kirtland's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Berkshire's offense will have their work cut out for them.
