Soccer Recap: Grimsley Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Grimsley was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They lost 6-1 to the Hoggard Vikings. While losing is never fun, Grimsley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Hoggard are ranked 22nd).

Grimsley's goal came courtesy of Lucas Belford, which was the first he's scored this season.

Grimsley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Hoggard, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

Grimsley has already played their next contest, a 2-2 draw against Northwest Guilford on the 27th. As for Hoggard, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heide Trask at 6:00 p.m. on the 4th.
